An embolectomy removes a blood clot blocking an artery in the neck or limbs to restore circulation.

MOH Fee Benchmarks indicate:
· Surgeon fee: SGD 2,200 – 3,900
· Anaesthetist fee: Not available

Most plans cover:
· Emergency vascular surgery
· Inpatient procedures

Emergency procedures are usually covered, but pre-existing vascular disease exclusions may apply.

Prompt clot removal prevents permanent damage. Insurance should allow emergency surgery.
