Pre-existing Conditions Coverage
What you need to know about pre-existing conditions and eligibility.

Pre-existing conditions can complicate access to insurance. MyHEALTH offers three types of underwriting: Full Medical, Moratorium, and CPME—each with a different approach to these conditions.
Coverage Rules
Full Medical Underwriting: Declared conditions may be excluded, covered with a loading, or accepted as is.
Moratorium: Conditions not treated or symptomatic for 24 months may become covered after that period.
CPME: Continuity of coverage is maintained if you're switching from a comparable plan.
Expat-Friendly Approach
If you're moving from another plan, CPME ensures continued protection. If you're healthy now but had issues in the past, Moratorium may allow future coverage with no exclusions.
Tips for Expats
Always declare your medical history. Non-disclosure can void your policy later.
